Incredibly bad-ass Mario Bros NES castle cover!

Its been a while since i updated this blog, and i figured its about time. I was searching around the ol' youtubes when i came accross this fricken incredibly bad ass cover of the castle theme from the NES Super Mario Bros. I can't really describe it any other way than its like mario meets death metal!! :D

Michael Jaskson RIP Man

I know everyone at one time or another has made or at least a joke regarding this legendary man, but its all done in respect. Whether you agree or disagree with any of the things he's done over the years, good or bad, he's still an amazing musician who constantly wowed us all with hit after hit.

Here's an awesome power metal remix of I Kissed A Girl done by axe427. It gave me a bunch of ideas and i kinda wonder why i haven't done anything like this yet?!? Anyways, its a very well done remix and his guitar skills are very exceptional. ENJOY!!
Here's my finished Temple theme remix from Legend OF Zelda 2 from the NES. I actually recorded all the guitars, bass, and drums almost a year ago but didn't get around to polishing up til about a week ago. I really love the way it came out and its one of my fav remixes so far. ENJOY!!

Tetris Gets Metallized!

Apparently, some band i've never heard of before called People In Distress from Sweden were very bored and did a metallized version of the Tetris theme. I can't really remember which one it is off the top of my head, but its still pretty fricken awesome!!

Mega Man meets Final Fantasy?!?

Whilst searching for metal remix awesomeness on the youtubes, i stumbled across this mashup vid. The vid features metal remixes of Mega Man X songs with clips of Final Fantasy 8 and 10 in the background. I'm not really sure how the Final Fantasy clips have anything to do with the Mega Man remixes, but what the hell?? I suppose its pretty awesome on a video game nerdness scale! Anyways, ENJOY! :)

MGFF FTW!!

So while searching around the ol' interwebs, i stumbled across what could be one of the greatest Mario fan made games out there to date! Its called Super Mario Fusion: Mushroom Kingdom Hearts. While there are only about 7 playable levels and all the game maps are maneuverable, its still an awesome WIP.

You can download the demo HERE, and make sure you get the MP3 pack HERE to really get the full experience. While its still only in beta version 0.1 RC2, its still worth the hope of seeing it develop into a full game!

Here is developer JudgeSpear2 demoing 5 of the available 12 levels from Super Mario Fusion: Mushroom Kingdom Hearts:

Super Mario DOOM?!?

Who knew life in the mushroom kingdom was so damn hard? Apparently all those games we played growing up (or recently for those us not born in the 80s) were all a lie!

This is a video unearthed in the deserts outside of mushroom kingdom centuries after those epic battles took place. Even Luigi clones were runnin' around trying to bring Mario down! Enjoy! or, try not to explode from it all!

Super Mario World Castle Rockin' Remix

I stumbled across this remix while getting ideas to a similar remix of my own. This guy nailed the seldom creepiness of the Mario World castles. I think the main theme could used a little more epic-ness to it, but thats where i come in! Nah, i don't have anything to put up just yet, maybe when i get around to not being lazy i'll give it a go!

I the mean time enjoy this awesome, rockin' remix of the classic castle theme! You can also download the mp3 HERE.

Awesome slower, more melodic take on the Zelda classic

Here's a ReMix done by Sweendrix. Its very catchy, even though its a slower take on the classic. Still, awesome mixing and production though.

Website iheartchaos.com has come up with there own periodic table of elements featuring video game characters as the elements....hmmmm...now i gotta wonder how this is of any relevance to anything at all. Oh well, its still pretty cool, plus hanging it on your wall gives you bonus geek points, and there's nothing wrong with that! LOL :)
